also, have you got any tips for shading? becase I always mess it up, I don't know where to put the shading, or how dark or light it should be. D: thanks ~ o3o

o0o0o, i'm still very noobish and learning everyday but hmmmm let me see

If you want to shade fast (and cheat a lot), shade in solid black on a new layer. Then lower the opacity, go to hue/saturation, tick "colorize" and make the black a nicer colour the suits the picture! This way you can also really easily adjust how harsh the shading is.

Without mentioning the problem with the wings... well the change from a pegasi to an earth pony, is pretty good, and the design of the mane inherited form Surprise, beside employing the pallete color from G3 Pinkie Pie, in my opinion, in this case is just a fusion of the best of two generations [besides... G3 PinkiePie looks like Pinkamena... or is just my imagination?]

btw, great color and design techique!!!
